This is an older version of the main program, kept as backup.
This version was updated to compile with no warnings on CentOS and Mac 10.9.
Under OSX 10.14 there are warnings. Use -Wno-deprecated-declarations to get rid of most.
Under Ubuntu 18, there are a few warnings but not painfully.
I had problems with the sound code, but now it works.
